The WCDC offers free workshops for residents that wish to improve their finances or create more opportunity.
The workshops are offered throughout the year in English and Spanish-only formats. They are conducted by regional leaders, connecting the attendees to the resources they need to take their hopes and plans to the next level. Topics include:
- Navigating Your Future – Free workshop series for young adults and parents on college and career training options and job-readiness.
- Tenants Rights Workshops – legal advice from local experts.
- Immigrant Rights Workshops – presented by various local advocates.
- Steps to Homeownership – workshops and ongoing support provided by the Cabrillo Economic Development Corporation and Ventura County Community Development Corporation.
- Home Savings through Energy Conservation with the Ventura County Regional Energy Alliance.
